Miso Glazed Salmon
A Japanese-inspired weeknight dinner that looks restaurant-worthy. Sweet white miso caramelizes beautifully on the salmon after just a few minutes under the broiler.

Ingredients
- 4 fillets salmon (skin-on, about 6oz each)
- 3 tbsp white miso paste
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp sake (or dry sherry)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 green onions (sliced, for serving)
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (for serving)
How to Make It
- 1
Whisk together miso, mirin, sake, soy sauce, sesame oil, and honey until smooth.
- 2
Pat salmon dry and place in a shallow dish. Coat all over with the miso glaze. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours in the fridge.
- 3
Position oven rack 6 inches from broiler and preheat broiler to high. Line a baking sheet with foil.
- 4
Place salmon skin-side down on the prepared sheet. Broil for 8–10 minutes until glaze is caramelized and fish flakes easily. Watch carefully — the miso can burn quickly.
- 5
Serve over steamed rice, topped with green onions and sesame seeds.
